Check with your Employer about Matching Gifts
Many companies will match gifts made by their employees to registered nonprofit organizations like Fair Trade USA.
Check to see if your employer has such a program and if your support of Fair Trade USA is eligible for matching. Your gift could double in value! Follow these easy steps:
- Obtain a matching gift form from your company's Human Resources Department.
- Indicate on the form that you'd like your contribution to go to Fair Trade USA.

A week before their nuptials, Emily and Lawrence opened their mail and instead of a gift card from a houseware store, they found that a wedding gift had been made in their honor to Fair Trade USA. “It makes me feel very proud that a family friend was so generous in our name. Lawrence and I are already very lucky in our lives and we are grateful that our loved ones thought to share our good fortune with Fair Trade USA,” says the bride.
Gift of Fairness: Sisters Angela and Sarah Spoto
This Mother’s Day, Fair Trade USA launched a new Gift of Fairness near and dear to many mothers’ hearts: “Give a Mom a Break.” This lighthearted gift has a serious side: Fair Trade makes sure families with working moms have day care for their children. Twin sisters Angela and Sarah Spoto from Hampton Falls, NH purchased this Gift of Fairness in honor of their mother Kathleen Spoto.
Foundation Support: The Blooming Prairie Foundation
The Blooming Prairie Foundation – with roots in the Midwest’s natural food cooperative movement – is committed to the cooperative model and to sustainable agriculture. In this spirit, they made a grant to support the Coffee Producers’ Advisory Council of Fair Trade USA. The Council gives Fair Trade cooperative leaders from around the world a forum to share strategies and insights that help build the Fair Trade movement. A better future is blooming for Fair Trade coffee farmers!
